The Sector for Authorization of Payment is responsible for implementing the National Program for Financial Support of Rural Development, and after receiving accreditation from the European Union, it will also implement the measures from the IPARD Operative  Programme 2007-2013.

For successful implementation of the above-mentioned activities, the Sector is responsible for checking the claims for payment, determining the completeness and the adequacy of the submitted financial documentation, analyzing the results of the on--the-spot control,  decision making for payment, as well as supervising the project for five years after the final payment
