AFSARD: The Agency has paid the subsidies for horticultural production - 214.7 million denars for circa 11,000 cultivators of garden crops

The Agency for Financial Support in Agriculture and Rural Development has made payment under the direct payments per arable agricultural area for garden production and outdoors flower plants and flower plants in greenhouses.

Beneficiaries of this support are agricultural holdings that have reported cultivated areas with tomatoes, pepper, watermelon, melon, pumpkin, beans, green beans, peas, potatoes, cucumbers, gherkins, cabbage, kale, onions, garlic, leeks, zucchini, lettuce, broccoli, spinach, cauliflower, eggplant, arugula, carrot, celery, parsnip, beetroot, asparagus, radishes, flowers and cultivated, aromatic and spicy plants.

For this measure, the Agency has paid 10,987 beneficiaries with a total amount of 214.7 million denars.

"We continue to work with increased dynamics in terms of payments under the Program for Financial Support in agriculture. After the payment of the winegrowers and farmers, the Agency shall also make payments of the financial support to the gardeners. In the following days, we will continue with the payment of the other measures from crop and livestock production" - said Director Bachovski

During the last week, the Agency for Financial Support in Agriculture and Rural Development made payments for maintenance of vineyards and cultivation of grain crops, for which the Agency has paid 17 million denars.
